Monitoring Fresh Water Fish @ Anchorage
Brooke and Wendy were out at Anchorage this afternoon putting gee minnow traps in for a group of Year 10 Science X students from Motueka High School. The students are going to record what they find in the traps tomorrow, and hopefully other students from MHS will repeat the monitoring in the future. Gee minnow traps are a great way to find out what's living in a fresh water stream. It's going to be a fun, wet day!
We also recorded some video of how to prepare the traps, as well as where and how to place them. We'll post a link to that video on this web site when it's ready.
